Continuing Education

Fort Scott Community College works with business, industry, and government agencies to improve the economic vitality of the region, help small businesses start and grow successfully, assure the availability of a trained workforce, and assist community members in learning new skills, finding employment, or advancing in their chosen field.  Our program flexibility allows us to partner with employers to provide training through multiple approaches on flexible time schedules  at a reasonable cost. Instruction can be provided by a partner employee or FSCC staff.

Workforce Training:  

Specific, short-term skill training—in many cases targeting industry recognized certifications—supporting many occupations required in multiple industries across the region.

Leadership Development: 

Organizational training with subject matter experts in a variety of leadership- and management-related subjects to support training goals, encourage employee advancement, and improve the organization’s bottom line.

Customized Training:  

Training solutions tailored to the identified training needs of individual businesses/industries. Instruction can be provided on site, on campus, or online, as appropriate. 

Online Specialty Training: 

FSCC can provide a variety of specialty training via a web-based instructional system that allows students to work at their own pace in an environment of their choice.

Community Enrichment: 

Classes related to hobby-related skills, including other lifestyle skills of interest to the community. For example, the College can provide a venue for classes from beekeeping to gardening.

Fort Scott Classes

Location 2108 S. Horton St. Fort Scott, Ks.

 

 

To make a payment for the Continuing Education classes, you may pay by check or cash the night of the class or credit card by phone at 620.223.2700 ext. 3000 for the Fort Scott location, 913.294.4178 for the Paola location, and 620.231.3819 got the Pittsburg location during regular business hours. Make checks payable to FSCC, information line "Continuing Education".
