Vocal and Instrumental Music Instructor

Master’s degree in Music, Music Education or closely related field.  Three years of teaching experience in online and face to face modalities, preferably in a community college setting.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to work closely with others in a variety of different areas.  Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the community college and student success.  Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.  Strong self-motivation.  Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings.

Vice President of Academic Affairs

Doctorate preferred, Master’s required.  Five years full-time teaching experience in higher education.  Significant senior-level academic, administrative and leadership experience serving a diverse student population.  Community college experience is highly preferred.  Demonstrated experience in and commitment to working collaboratively with faculty and academic staff, and experience in a collective bargaining environment.  Experience with regional and specialized accreditation agencies, curriculum development and implementation.  Proven track record of effective budget and resource management linked to institutional and departmental planning and assessment.  Practical experience using data to support Academic Affairs initiatives.

Nursing Instructor (multiple positions)

Licensed to practice professional nursing in Kansas and any other state with students in clinical experience (Missouri).  Master’s Degree in Nursing, preferably in the theory/clinical area being taught, or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, provided:

  • There is adequate guidance and supervision from MSN prepared faculty.
  • A degree plan for a Masters in Nursing is in place.  Note: KSBN requires degree completion in six years; however the program prefers completion in two years.

HVAC Instructor

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Education preferred, but not required.  Verifiable 3 years of work and/or teaching experience in HVAC.  Strong emphasis in residential & light commercial systems preferred.  Candidates must hold at least one HVAC industry recognized credential and a current EPA certification.  Experience with sheet metal fabrication preferred.  Interest in and ability to develop and maintain a program utilizing latest technology.  Have the ability to relate to students, FSCC partners/stakeholders, advisory boards and contractors.  Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and project management skills.

Head Power Lifting/Strength and Conditioning Coach

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.  NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCA (SCCC) certification is required.  CPR certification is required.  Must possess excellent organizational skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work productively with coaches, staff and student-athletes.  Strength and conditioning experience within an intercollegiate athletics environment is preferred.  Valid driver’s license.

Director of Business Operations

Possibility for advancement to VP of Finance & Operations within 5 years.

Ensure compliance with GASB/GAAP principles.  Supervise the Business Office staff comprised of an accounting clerk, accounts payable clerk, student receivable clerk, receptionist, and work study.  Maintain all appropriate files pertaining to job scope.  Prepare journal entries and financial statements for month-end and year-end.  Interface financial aid, payroll and UMB purchases as needed.  Support preparation of board committee reports.  Assist with monitoring all college departmental budgets and making appropriate notifications.  Responsible for various account reconciliations including club and organization accounts.
