FSCC Meat Judging Team was Reserve Champion at American Royal Contest in Omaha
Fort Scott, Kansas – The Fort Scott Community College Meat
Judging Team won several awards, including overall Reserve Champion at the
American Royal Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest in Omaha, Nebraska on October

Champion Team in the A-Division the FSCC Meat Judging team won the Beef Grading,
Total Beef and Placing Divisions.
individual standings, Lane Johnson tied for 1st, but received 2nd
place High Individual; 1st in Beef Grading; 4th in Pork
Judging; 1st in Beef Judging; 1st in Total Beef and 3rd
in the Questions Division. Johnson is
from Eureka, Kansas.
Harris was named 5th High Individual and won 3rd in Lamb
Judging; 3rd in Beef Judging; and 4th in the Total
Placings divisions. Harris is from Hepler, Kansas.
Hill was named 6th High Individual and won 2nd in Lamb
Judging; 5th in Pork Judging; and 5th in the Questions
Division. Hill is from Paola, Kansas.
Spieth was 10th High Individual and won 1st in Placings. Spieth is from Farlington, Kansas.
was the 5th High Alternate.
Walker is from Nevada, Missouri.
The Meat Judging Team will next be
travelling to Beef Empire Days in Garden City, KS on October 18 and 19.
