Aggie Day

March 26th, 2021

Agriculture Education Instructors,
County Extension Agents, and
4-H Club Leaders:

The Agriculture Department of Fort Scott Community College would like to invite your FFA Chapter and 4-H Teams to participate in our 44th Annual Aggie Day. The interscholastic agriculture contests will be held Friday, March 26th, 2021 at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas.

Coaches Information

All coaches and/or advisors MUST attend one of the virtual coaches meetings held over Zoom either the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday before the contest. You pick what evening works for you as long as you attend one of them. They will all be offered at 5:30pm each of those days. A link will be sent out after registration is complete.

Registration Information

Registration the day of the event will be from 7:30 am - 8:30 am in Arnold Arena, located on the west side of our campus. You will be allowed to send only one representative in to get your packets to prevent large crowds from gathering in the building.

The pre-registration form and all information pertaining to Aggie Day will be found on this website. Please use the links to the left of this announcement to navigate your way through the information.

Pre-registration is required if you plan to attend.  Fort Scott Community College will provide the scantron sheets for each contest area. Registration fees are due on or before the event (March 26th); schools will not be allowed to participate if fees have not been paid. Please make checks payable to: FSCC Ag Department.

Please submit the pre-registration form by March 19th, 2021.

COVID-19 Information and Regulations

The competition areas will be limited compared to years past. The rules and information to the contests being offered are posted via the link on the left side of this page. We hope the contests are challenging, yet beneficial for your teams as they prepare for state and district events.

  • Masks are mandatory. Only one warning will be given if an individual is not wearing one. If a competitor does not comply with wearing a mask, they will be asked to leave FSCC campus and disqualified from the contest.
  • Contestants will be in rotational groups with contestants from other schools during the contest.
  • Social distancing is strongly encouraged.
  • All teams must register between 7:30 and 8:30 am in Arnold Arena. Please be here before 8:30 am so we may begin promptly! Only one person may enter the gym to pick up the packet.
  • Contestants need to stay in their vehicles before they go to their contest. We will not be having a “common area” for students to hang out in this year. Bathrooms will be open in the campus buildings if needed.
  • The awards banquet will be held virtually in 2021 by Zoom on Monday, March 29th at 2:00pm. We are hoping this allows your teams to meet back up and be together during the banquet. After the banquet, results will be posted on judging card and awards will be mailed out.
  • We have made some changes this year so please read the entire rules and information about each contest.
  • Contestants may enter more than one CDE area unless CDE times conflict.
  • Students participating in livestock judging WILL NOT have the time or flexibility available to participate in other events.

Please review Fort Scott Community College's general COVID-19 Policy and Procedures for more information.
