Fort Scott, Kansas - Fort Scott Community College has named Jason Hogue to be the Director of Public Relations.

Dr. Clayton Tatro praised Hogue’s start at FSCC. “Jason has come to the college and hit the ground running. I appreciate his energy, enthusiasm and expertise.”

“I fully expect that he will be able to take FSCC’s media communications to a whole new level. We are excited to showcase all of the unique and exceptional success at the College. Jason’s background, experience and skill set will greatly benefit those efforts.”

Hogue writes, “Based on my work with other colleges, I knew that most community colleges have wonderful stories and interesting voices that are never heard. However, the vast number of good things happening on FSCC’s campus has still managed to surprise me. I look forward to helping our community hear about each of them.”

Hogue comes to Fort Scott from Monett, Missouri where he taught public relations and speech courses for Crowder College and Drury University. He also taught at Kansas City Kansas Community College and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

In conjunction to teaching, Hogue has assisted in media and constituent relations with the Missouri Department of Social Services, the Missouri Office of the Governor, the Missouri Republican Party and other civic and public organizations.

Hogue earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Missouri State University and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
