Fort Scott Community College has named Jason Hogue to be the Director of Public
Clayton Tatro praised Hogue’s start at FSCC.
“Jason has come to the college and hit the ground running. I appreciate his energy, enthusiasm and
fully expect that he will be able to take FSCC’s media communications to a
whole new level. We are excited to showcase all of the unique and
exceptional success at the College. Jason’s background, experience and
skill set will greatly benefit those efforts.”
Hogue writes, “Based
on my work with other colleges, I knew that most community colleges have
wonderful stories and interesting voices that are never heard. However, the
vast number of good things happening on FSCC’s campus has still managed to
surprise me. I look forward to helping
our community hear about each of them.”
Hogue comes to
Fort Scott from Monett, Missouri where he taught public relations and speech
courses for Crowder College and Drury University. He also taught at Kansas City
Kansas Community College and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
to teaching, Hogue has assisted in media and constituent relations with the
Missouri Department of Social Services, the Missouri Office of the Governor,
the Missouri Republican Party and other civic and public organizations.
Hogue earned a
bachelor’s degree in communications from Missouri State University and a master’s
degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
