FSCC Livestock Judging Team wins a grant in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX – The Fort Scott Community College (FSCC) Livestock Judging Team competed at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo on Saturday, Feb. 22nd, and won an educational grant of $1,500 for ranking third in the junior college division. Team members include: Trenton Tosh, Blaine French, Jackie Sweeny, Randee Corns, Riley McKenney, Rachel Dotson, Naomi Parsons, RJ Ellis, Zech Moore, Kirstin Winchester and Kollin Bush.

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is a volunteer organization that emphasizes agriculture and education to develop the youth of Texas. In pursuit of the mission, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo has committed more than $134.6 million to youth education since 1984 and $11.1 million in 2013.

“Our team was the high team overall in the sheep division, too,” said FSCC Livestock Judging Coach Ryan Page. “Trenton Tosh was second high individual and Blaine French was fourth high individual in Oral Reasons. Both men were in the top ten overall.”
