Exit Exam

Fort Scott Community College requires that all graduates complete an exit exam one week prior to the end of the semester. These exams help FSCC monitor and improve academic achievement. Students who are receiving an Associate of Applied Science Degree should complete the WorkKeys assessment. Students who are receiving an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of General Studies degree should complete the CAAP test. Students who are receiving a certificate are not required to take an exit exam.

WorkKeys

The WorkKeys measures three skill areas. Each area is 55 minutes long and a student has to take all three tests to be eligible for graduation. After completing the WorkKeys assessment you will receive a WorkReady Certificate, which is based on the nationally recognized certificate for ACT WorkKeys informing employers of your skills. The Certificate measures your skills in three areas–reading, locating information, and mathematics–and certifies you as a Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze candidate.

This assessment can be taken at the Fort Scott Campus in the Student Success Center, at the Pittsburg Education Center, or at the Miami County Campus in Paola.  You must schedule a time to take your exam, so please contact the appropriate office before showing up to test by calling or signing up in person (contact information listed below).  Please bring photo identification with you to test (Examples: Driver’s License, State ID, or FSCC Student ID).
