Lindsay Hill was recently hired in late November to take over the Greyhound Volleyball program.
Hill comes to Fort Scott Community College after serving three seasons as the top assistant coach at Pittsburg State University. During her three year stint, she helped lead the Gorillas to a 67-37 record.
Prior to her time at Pitt State, Hill was the Head Volleyball Coach at Neosho County Community College. Hill compiled an 85-71 record directing the Panthers program over four seasons. Her 2007 squad was ranked as high as No.5 in the NJCAA Division II preseason poll and her 2006 team finished that season ranked No. 14 nationally. During her four-year tenure, Hill coached a pair of NJCAA All-Americans and 18 All-Jayhawk Conference performers. Additionally, her 2005 team was a National Champion in the classroom, by winning the NJCAA Division II Academic Team of the Year with a 3.69 team cumulative GPA. Her 2004 squad ranked sixth nationally and her 2007 team ranked seventh nationally in team GPA.
Hill graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pittsburg State with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2003, and she was named the Physical Education Major of the Year her senior year. She also earned a master’s degree in physical education from Pittsburg State in 2004, completing her master’s degree program with a perfect 4.00 GPA.
Hill resides in Fort Scott with her husband, John Hill III, who serves as the Head Baseball Coach at Fort Scott CC.
