The Fort Scott Community College football team returned from spring break ready to begin spring football practice. After months of hard work in the weight room the players are ready to get back out onto the field. Fort Scott is going into spring ball having won the 2008 Heart of Texas Bowl with a final record of 9-2 last season. The NJCAA preseason poll has the Greyhounds ranked #6 in the nation. The expectations are high in Fort Scott and the players have been preparing themselves all off season so that they can exceed those expectations. Spring ball will consist of sixteen full padded practices and conclude with a Spring Bash scrimmage on April 25th.
Head Coach Jeff Sims and the Fort Scott football staff will be conducting football camps for all ages and positions in the upcoming months. The camps will provide teachings of basic football skills and techniques used in the game of football. The dates for each camp are as follows:
