Mandatory clinic 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Tryouts begin at 6:30 PM
Participants will learn all choreography, cheers and stunts
required for tryouts during the clinic. You must wear athletic clothing,
and bring two letters of recommendation from a coach and/or teacher.

Dance Team Receives Awards From Competition
The Fort Scott Community College Dance Team recently gottogether to celebrate placing first at a dance competition this winter. The team was presented with the National Championship banner and trophy on Monday, May 24, 2011.
This February the Fort Scott Community College Dance Team attended JamFest Nationals. JamFest is an organization that puts on various competition events in cheerleading and dance throughout the country. This specific JamFest Nationals competition was held in Kansas City at the downtown convention center.
FSCC’s team finished first in the Junior College Open Division, for which they were awarded individual medals, a team trophy and a team banner, which is now hanging in Arnold Arena.
“I am really proud of the amount of time and energy thesestudent-athletes put into this task,” commented former dance team coachKathleen Hinrichs. “They finished the year strong with a great two-day score atJamFest Nationals.”
