Learn About Masonry Restoration |
Fort Scott Community College has developed a training program to help you, and your business maintain
productivity and profitability.
The college's two-week Masonry Restoration Training Program
will help less experienced employees master the basics of restoration.
The training includes both classroom and hands-on instruction conducted by experienced industry craftsmen,
as well as, manufacturers' representatives.
Having your employees complete this course should translate into safer, more productive employees.
What you will learn During this intensive two-week program in basic
skills your employees will learn:
Sealants--(sealants; injection methods).
Restoration--(masonry/brick; stone; concrete; stucco; building cleaning).
Waterproofing -- (coating; exterior insulation & finish systems; waterproofing; water repellants;
building).
Safety--(fall protection; hazardous communication; aerial lift; swing stage
scaffold; supported scaffold; ladders & stairways; bloodborne pathogens; OSHA training).
In addition to the above topics, the program also includes assessment and extra training in reading and math.
Employees who complete the program can also use this training to begin or continue their studies toward a
college degree.
What others say about our program. . .
"It was truly amazing to see the change in attitude and the increased production we received from the first day they were back on the job...It was better than advertised. It would be a mistake if we didn't take advantage of this great opportunity."
--Ronald Pilla, Vice President, Valcourt Building Services
