Join the rapidly growing field of healthcare |
That is why the Departments of Nursing & Allied Health
at Fort Scott Community College offer a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing that is
accredited by the National League for Nursing and the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
Graduates of the program are eligible to write the national licensing exam to become a Registered Nurse
(R.N.). This associate degree program prepares graduates for beginning staff nurse positions in various
health-care settings. The graduate nurse is prepared to deliver nursing care to individuals and groups within
a structured setting and to work with other members of the health care team to promote health and wellness.
Under the Kansas Statewide Nursing Articulation Plan, FSCC graduates also may continue their studies at any of 12
colleges and universities in Kansas that offer bachelor's degrees in nursing.
Allied Health at FSCC
The Allied Health Department also offers several
short-term certificate programs to meet community needs in nursing and allied health care fields.
Courses are taught as community and student needs warrant, both on campus and at FSCC extension sites.
We are very excited to be able to offer CPR, First Responder and EMT Training services to the region.
The FSCC Allied Health and Nursing Departments advocate cultural, racial and ethnic diversity throughout
all of our programs.
