Fort Scott, Ks—Fort Scott Community College School of Cosmetology wants to give a little help to the local elementary kids by offering free haircuts to eligible students. With the permission from their parents, students can participate in the free haircuts, which will take place the 1^st of each month, through April.

Fort Scott, Ks.—Fort Scott Community College will be hosting the annual Math Relays November 16^th starting at 9am in Bailey Hall. This contest will be represented by 22 different schools in the area, with about 417 students registered to compete.

Please join us on Monday, November 5th from 1pm to 4pm for a Nurse Career and Education Fair, to be held at the Ellis Fine Arts Center, 2108 South Horton in Fort Scott.  This event is open to the public as well as nursing, pre-nursing, and allied health students.  There will be door prize drawings for students held throughout the event.

Fort Scott Community College, in collaboration with Truth Initiative, announced today the EX Program, an innovative quit-smoking program designed for FSCC employees and students.  The EX Program is a comprehensive, digital smoking-cessation program designed for employers, health systems and health plans to offer to their employees or members who smoke.

The Fort Scott Community College Rodeo Team will host the annual Dan VandeWynkel Alumni Rodeo starting with Slack at 2 pm and then kicking off the rodeo at 7:30 pm Saturday, October 20^th at Arnold Arena. During the rodeo, students will compete alongside FSCC alumni.

FSCC theater stage becomes “Gilligan’s Island”

Fifty-four years after the tiny “S.S. Minnow” first set sail from its tropic port, the ship comes aground on the stage at Fort Scott Community College as the FSCC theater department presents “Gilligan’s Island: The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19-20 and 2 p.m. Oct. 21.

Fort Scott Community College presents the Annual Business Expo, taking place on August 22nd from 9am to 11:30am in Bailey Hall. All businesses are welcome to attend! Set up will be any time between 7:30am and 9am, refreshments will be available in the faculty lounge for businesses. Each business will get the opportunity to mingle with the students and the community is welcome as well.
